Dr. Russell Volpe is a Professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Pediatrics where he has taught since 1985. He was founding Chair of the Department of Pediatrics from 1993-2006. He served on the Adjunct Faculty of the California School of Podiatric Medicine from 2003-2008 teaching Podopediatrics. 

Dr. Volpe was Medical Consultant for the Langer Biomechanics Group from 1992-2002. Dr Volpe is co-editor, with Peter Thomson. of Introduction to Podopediatrics, 2nd edition, published by Elsevier. Dr. Volpe is in specialty Podopediatrics private practice in Plainview New York since 1986 and in Manhattan since 2003.

He has lectured regularly at major podiatric medical conferences in the US and internationally. Dr. Volpe has served on the Editorial Board of Podiatry Today and continues to serve as a content reviewer for Pediatrics for the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
