In addition to student life activities, we have a number of time-honored traditions that you can look forward to.

White Coat Ceremony

NYCPM was the first podiatric medical school in the country to hold an annual White Coat Ceremony. Held each September for the new incoming class, you’ll receive your white coat and recite the Hippocratic Oath, serving as your symbolic inauguration into the medical field.

Residency Fair

Our students have gone on to residencies across the country from Emory University in Georgia, Cambridge Health Alliance in Massachusetts, Scripps Mercy Hospital in California and everything in between. The annual residency fair is an opportunity for you to learn about the different residency programs around the county as you plan your next steps.

Research Fair

Every year NYCPM hosts the student-initiated and organized college research fair. For those who have participated in research, this is an opportunity to showcase your posters. Our students have researched and presented on everything from plantar fasciitis, pes planovagus and chronic wound care to foot deformity like Hagland’s deformity or pseudoequinus.

Match Day

Match Day is one of the most significant milestones for podiatric medical students. Held annually in March, it is the day that 4th year students find out where they will be going for their residency program. Surrounded by classmates and faculty, you find out where you "matched" as we celebrate together.
